Noise Barrier

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AS NOISE & POLLUTANT ?
According to WHO the sound above 65dB are harmful to humans & as per USNPS & CBD sound above 50dB are harmful to wildlife species. Which are considered as noise. The sources which causes sound more than the prescribed range are considered as noise pollutant.

A noise barrier is a structure designed to block or reduce unwanted noise from sources like
highways and railways. These barriers work by either absorbing sound or reflecting it away from
sensitive areas, such as homes, parks, and schools. Noise barriers play an essential role in urban planning by helping create quieter, more peaceful environments and are often subject to regulations to protect public health and well-being.

When the sound waves generated from the source meet the barrier, the waves are redirected or bounced back to the source where
the sound is generated
When the sound waves generated from the source meet the barrier, the most of the sound waves gets
internally absorbed by diffraction and refraction inside by the barrier.
When the sound waves generated from the source meet the barrier, the sound waves are scattered or
diffracted by the barrier.
